Podcasts are growing all over the web and benefit English learners in many ways. They provide us with listening resources of great content in AUDIO format. Mainly the Podcasts are audio files which usually come with a transcript. It is very similar to blogging but instead of written articles, Podcasts include audio available for download.
How can English learners benefit from Podcasts? Unlike the common, repetitive listening activities used in student books to practice listening, and learn vocabulary, Podcasts provide interesting topics with actual fun information and discussions. The conversations are natural and real and the students are exposed to the “REAL LANGUAGE” rather than acted conversations in common books.
