How do you practice English? Well, most students say that they use their English student books and workbooks along with the audio CD’s.  But there are better and more entertaining ways of practicing English.

The main objective of practicing is to create automatism in producing communicative phrases and structure in a fluent and natural way.  For example, you might have studied the present perfect tense and know well how to create a sentence using this tense but one thing is to know the theory and another one is to apply it when you communicate with others. This is why practicing is vital because it makes the brain relate better the situation with the structure and phrases in a more practical and functional way.

In fact, by repetition, we often develop more fluency then by memorizing rules. This is evident when we see how children learn without grammar or any structural presentation. Children simply listen and repeat and by doing this many times they relate it to an specific communicative situation and acquire the phrase or structure.
